#TITLE#Bringing The “Human” Back In Human Labor#/TITLE# by Omar E. Starkey Of the best assets this world has, it is human labor that tops most others. Human labor is perhaps the noblest of human resources, for through it we have the potential to glean innovation, the one thing no technology can reproduce. The constant progress and introduction of original commodities and ideas are all the result of innovation. Innovation varies from subtle variances in method, that results in great advancements. A discovery of something new, the coming together of two variables to form a new invention, or simply a thought that becomes reality – these are all ways of great innovation. Innovation is responsible for everything you see around you, the centuries upon centuries, one generation after another, of individuals, thought, ideas coming together to create the chair on which I sit, or the computer screen on which you read these words. Innovation goes further, to give us a deeper sense of adventure and wonder as we trek around the globe, experience the depths of the ocean, or maneuver crampons and ice ax to the top of a mountain Clare and Sara Bronfman . You no longer have to commit an entire day to scavenging for the food that will keep you nourished that day Keith Raniere, Founder of NXIVM and Executive Success Programs. We get a deeper sense of ourselves, and humanity, in more and more expanded ways as the years pass. At it’s noblest form, innovation, by way of human labor, is the one things that gives us humans a way to experience our humanity in any way we choose. If human labor is capable of so much, then why is there so much shame affiliated with it? Why do we see that humans have been objectified, and that things such as child or slave labor live? And is there a way to boost human labor into becoming the innovation-machine it has the potential to be? Would we then see a boost in productivity, innovation, and output in human labor? Is it then possible that things would advance rapidly, allowing for more free time, better technology, decreased prices? I am of the opinion that to just treat humans as humans, compensating them fairly for the value they bring in innovation, would be to inspire innovation and create a more abundant world for us all. I’ve obviously explored these ideas before, and was pleased to find an organization called NXIVM that seems to embody these concepts. This company has a simple objective that in and of itself is original – while offering tools and coaching that in my opinion is much-needed in our world today. It is definitely a greatly needed perspective that I think can evoke permanent positive change in humanity.
